Hi Amber,

I adopted a bunny from you around last Thanksgiving. He was a Christmas present for my daughter, Celeste. We drove to Everett to pick him up from your stepdad.

I don't have any pictures of him, but I can take some and email them to you. My daughter named him "Sparky." She just got finished brushing him and pulling some of his hair, until he started digging on her lap, which we have learned, means he had to go potty, so she put him back in his cage. I told her to do some pulling every couple of days. He has the nicest wool! It's a pretty pearly-beige color.

Sparky is the sweetest little guy, and very personable. He likes to be kissed on the nose, and he loves to go out and play in his bunny playpen, I made for him in the back yard. Today, he was trying to play with our rooster, Chester. It was really funny. Chester was standing by Sparky's playpen, just watching him. Sparky was running around and around, trying to get Chester to play with him! The chickens all mill around the outside of his playpen, and watch him. He enjoys their company.

I put a little vegetable oil in his water. I will try the pineapple juice also. He has a good appetite, and has been gaining enough weight to feel solid. He seems very healthy. I give him bunny pellets, (and carrots, sometimes.) He doesn’t seem to like alfalfa or timothy. He is trying some wet cob. He shares it with the chickens. He isn't quite sure about it. He's just a simple bunny-food-eatin' bunny, I guess.

If you have a white or black Satin doe coming available, will you let me know? No rush, but I think if I could get a dark doe, and breed her to Sparky, maybe I could get some pretty chocolate-colored wool. If I bred him to a white doe, maybe I could get some pretty silver wool.

Thanks again. Sparky is a doll.

Darlene
