| German Angoras do not molt in the same way other Angoras do. Their hair shafts hold fast, so they must be sheared, (rather than plucked) every 3 months. German Angoras are also matt resistant, so beyond their shearing, they are easy-maintenance bunnies. |

| Start at one end and work your way down with nice even rows. Take special care of the best fibers along the back, since this is where the prime wool is located. The more you handle your bunny, the more comfortable it will be with its trimming sessions. Your Bunny will identify you as a member of its herd and will be pleased by the respect your show for its high status through your grooming efforts. |

| I trim undersides by laying my bunnies in my lap on their backs. If you train them early to trust you while in this position, they will be limp as rag dolls. This portion of the wool is a lesser quality and not prime for spinning but would be fine for felting. |
