|
Pure
white from German Purebred "Bathsheeba"
This
package shows what 2 ounces looks like.
|
 |
A
lock of "Bathsheeba" wool.
We
almost always have some white available, since our German bunns out
produce our Satin Angoras by 6 to 1.
|
 |
This
silky, shiny golden lock is from our Red Torte 100% Satin Angora "BabaYaga"
Their golden fleeces are not as long, but most luxurious to spin. Satin
Angora wool grows very very slowly and the harvest is skimpy compared
to the germans.
We
are saving every last bit our satin wool for a project and not selling
any at this time.

Lock
from Chocolate Torte
"Valentino"
our 50/50 German/Satin
Angora Cross.
His
color is not as intense and he does not ~show~ satin but carries it recessively.
His
wool length and production
is nearly doubled that of BabaYaga |
 |
A
lock from Red Torte
"Count Dylan Dog"
our
75/25 Satin/German Angora cross.
(son of Valentino and BabaYaga)
So
far, his youth coat shows color
that is nearly as intense as the Satins
and just as shiny and silky and nearly as long as the German Angoras
Wool
production for
our two 75/25% crosses is at
6 ounces every 90 days
(3 x more wool produced
than the purebred satin angoras) |
 |
This
silvery lock is from "BunnyBunny"
His
wool is not as long as our German's, but it is silky soft and lightly
crimped with intermittent glissening silver shafts tipping the end.
